Plonked Search Engine Debuts for Businesses

Search and analysis company Plonked has launched a new search engine geared for business folk.

The search engine, which is also named Plonked, enables users to search and connect with companies and receive notifications when new companies come on the scene for free. With Plonked, users can discover how companies are connected, with whom they partner, and to whom they sell.

The company is planning to release additional plans with more features in the future, however. The $25 professional plan, which builds on the free plan, will also enable subscribers to identify new leads by analyzing the existing customer base.

The enterprise plan, with a hefty $250 a month cost, will have the added ability to auto-populate users’ CRM and integrate with marketing automation tools.

“The business network we have created is already yielding fascinating metrics, such as the average separation of 3.5 degrees for most tech companies,” Plonked founder and CEO Ankur Varma said in a press release. “In other words, even the most obscure small businesses are in fact connected to the other 24 million businesses in the United States in just three to four hops.”

Plonked’s ability to use the company network and page-rank concepts is how it offers what it calls “better, more relevant search results, with relevancy ranking driven by company-to-company relationships.”
