How to Advertise Using iPhone Mobile Web

Web browsing on smartphones is becoming more popular so, naturally, advertisers are looking for ways to reach the millions and millions of mobile Web users. One well-known company in the mobile advertising space is AdMob. Google is also present in the mobile advertising industry, as is Microsoft.

Suggestions

  1. Open your Web browser and visit one of the many mobile advertising companies that exist. Among the websites to consider are AdMob, Google and Microsoft's advertising product pages.
  2. Sign up for the advertising program. Be sure to have a credit card handy, as most companies will require that you have a credit card on file before your ads run. To advertise on mobile devices through Microsoft's program, you are required to fill out some personal information so a sales representative can contact you.
  3. Choose to run your ads on mobile devices only. AdMob is a mobile-only advertising company, so this step won't be present on its site. Using Microsoft's mobile advertising program also ensures that your ads will be mobile-only. Google's AdWords product will give you an option to target your ads toward Web users, mobile users or both.
  4. Write your ad copy. Because your ad will be seen on a mobile device and not a laptop or PC, you might not have much space to work with. Make your ad short and compelling.
  5. Submit your ad and, if necessary, select an amount you'd like to bid per impression or per click. If you've tied your credit card to your account, your ad will start running as soon as it's approved.
