Computer hackers then use your account to impersonate and spam individuals in your Yahoo account list. All login activity on your account is logged. You can find out who hacked your Yahoo account by accessing your recent login activity.

Instructions

Launch any Web browser and log in to your Yahoo Account.
Click “View your recent login activity” under Sign-in and Security.
Review the login activity of your account. The following information is recorded from your Yahoo logins: date and time, access type, event and location.
Click the “Location” drop-down menu and select “IP Address.” The IP address of the computer that logged into your account is displayed.

How to Tell If Your Email Has Been Hacked

Email accounts often contain very sensitive information, and this makes them a prime target for hackers. If you are afraid that someone might be reading your personal email, you can perform a simple test to find out.

Instructions

Set up a new email account.
Create an account at sitemeter.com, a free counter and statistics tracker (see Resources).
Compose an email with the new email account that contains an enticing subject line but don't send it.
Log into your Sitemeter.com account and copy the html code provided there.
Paste the code into the bottom of your email. This code allows Sitemeter to monitor how many times the email has been accessed.
Send this email to the email account that you think has been hacked.
Check your account at Sitemeter periodically to see if anyone has read the email.

How to Check If Your Computer Has Been Hacked

Hacking can mean a number of things, but computer hacking is basically when someone accesses your computer or its resources without your permission and initially without your knowledge. Computers can be hacked without leaving evidence behind. As a home user, you can almost always find out if you have been hacked because the hacker either wants to keep using your computer resources or wants to harm your computer.

Instructions

Look for extra folders, which may take time. Right-click on the hard drive in Windows Explorer. You will see how much of your hard drive is being used. If you notice you suddenly have a lot less hard drive space, that is a warning sign that your computer may be being used to share files online, such as illegal movies. Go through the folders on your computer one at a time to look for folders that are large in size that you did not put there and that are not valid system files.
Check the users. Go to the Control Panel and click on "Users." If any extra users have been added or if some user passwords have been changed, this is a sure sign that the computer was hacked.
Find out if your security has been shut off. Go to the Control Panel and look to see if Windows Firewall is turned off. Sometimes it will be impossible to turn back on. Make sure your anti-virus is on and that Windows updates are turned on. These things are often disabled when a computer has been hacked.
Run your anti-virus and spyware remover programs, doing a full scan with each software. Often hacked computers have viruses and a lot of spyware programs.
