How to Design Your Own Addidas Golf Shoes

Golf companies continue to push cutting edge technology in their products. Adidas, one of the major brands in golf shoes, now offers their own option of designing your own golf shoe. Adidas offers hundreds of shoes in a variety of sports that you can design for yourself. Specifically, they offer the men's mi Powerband 3-0 which retails at $180.00. Adidas offers over 75 shoes in women's versions, however, at this time they do not offer any golf shoes that women can design.

Suggestions

  1. Visit a local golf shop with an Adidas account. Speak with the golf shop merchandiser about designing your golf shoes. The merchandiser will have knowledge of past and current shoe styles. They are also familiar with how to design shoes with Adidas. They will place the order for you and Adidas can drop ship the shoes to your house or you can pick them up at the golf shop.
  2. Customize your shoes based on the correct size, comfort and colors. Visit the Adidas website to begin designing your shoes. Create an account with Adidas to begin the process. Remember, this is a custom order. When the order is complete you will not have the option of changing or cancelling the order.
  3. Coordinate your shoes to match your school colors or favorite sports team. This is a great feature for high school and college golf teams. Taylor Made currently owns Adidas. Teams will have the option of matching all of their golf equipment and uniforms. This includes shoes, shirts, hats, pants and golf bags. All equipment can be designed to match team colors.
  4. Personalize your shoes with your name or favorite logo. Show your support by personalizing your shoe with your nation's flag. You can also add your favorite professional sports team or collegiate logo. Embroider your name, nickname, team, club, etc. on the back of the shoe. If you look at many PGA and LPGA Tour Professionals you will notice they have used the personalization option on their golf shoes.

How to Design Shoes for Women

Women's shoes come in a variety of styles, which makes designing shoes for women an exciting project that can be a lifelong endeavor. They are fun to design because of all the possibilities in heel heights, colors, patterns and fabrics. With some imagination and a few key style choices, anyone can design shoes for women that are distinctive, beautiful and desirable.

Suggestions

  1. Choose a basic style for the shoe. Women's shoes come in a variety of styles including open toe, closed toe, round toe pumps and sleek toe pumps, boots, booties, wedges, slides, loafers, slippers and mary janes. Grab a sketchbook and draw a preliminary design of the shoe.
  2. Decide on a type of heel. You can choose from platforms, stilettos, kitten heels, or chunky heels. Also, decide how high you'd like the heel to be. Heel heights are usually measured in inches. Of course, you can also design a shoe that is flat with no heel.
  3.   Choose a color or pattern for your shoe. You can pick a solid color or a combination of two or more colors. You can also choose patterns like stripes, polka dots, or a floral motif.
  4. Choose material for the shoe. There are many different types of materials a woman's shoe can be made from including leather, patent leather, cloth, suede, Lucite, denim and imitation leather or other synthetic materials. The type of fabric you choose is important because it gives the shoe a style and personality all its own.
  5. Decide if you'd like any embellishments on the shoe. You can decorate shoes with beads, embroidery, tassels, studs, spikes, or appliques. Embellishments give the shoes for women more personality and flair.
  6. Finally, decide on the type of straps or closures for the shoe. You can have one strap that wraps around the ankle, two long straps that wind around the ankle, a zipper that closes up in the back or no straps at all. Finish sketching your design.
