Focusing on Cost-Per-Lead Giving Marketers a False Sense of LinkedIn Success and Failure

LinkedIn Pen

Forrester reports that 99 percent of leads do not convert. LinkedIn reports that 87 percent of leads do not convert. So why are marketers so focused on lead goals and cost per lead when it comes to LinkedIn marketing and social selling?

I believe this is giving marketing a false sense of LinkedIn success or failure. Here are three examples to show you what I mean.

Wiley’s CMO Focuses on High Click-Through Rates Instead of Revenue Generated
As I mentioned in my recent article CMOs Are Failing to Go Beyond Brand Awareness on LinkedIn, Wiley’s CMO, Clay Stobaugh, focuses on sponsored updates and sponsored Inmails. I must admit, Wiley’s is getting amazing click-through rates. But Stobaugh never discusses how many of those click-throughs are becoming leads and how many of those leads are turning into actual opportunities and actual clients.

Now, let’s assume that many of those click-throughs become leads and he has a low cost-per-lead. If those leads do not move forward, then he has a high cost for business growth. And, their efforts on LinkedIn are nothing more than a cost center. It doesn’t matter how low the cost-per-lead is if leads are being stuck at the top-of-the-funnel. It’s still a cost and investment that isn’t leading to revenue. Do you see what I mean about a false sense of LinkedIn success by focusing on cost-per-lead?

Social Media Firm Focuses on Lead Goals Even Though Leads it Delivered Went Nowhere
I recently spoke to the president and CMO of a logistics company and they were both totally focused on how many leads they are able to deliver on a weekly and monthly basis. They proceeded to tell me how another social media lead generation firm was delivering five to 10 leads for sales calls per week.

However, those sales leads they were delivering went nowhere. Ninety percent of the calls were with prospects who were not in the right stage of the buying process at that time — or they were with people who were not even decision makers or influencers. The people who said “yes” to a call were just looking for free information, to network and maybe refer the company.

What good were those leads if no relationship was being created and leveraged to create revenue opportunities? Again, the cost-per-lead may be low but the cost for business growth is high.

Sales Consulting Firm Focuses on Cost-Per-Lead Rather Than Return on Relationships That Will Lead to Greater Revenue
The president of a sales consulting firm almost did not renew the firm’s contract with Get LinkedIn Help because she wasn’t getting the return-on-leads she wanted. She was focused solely on her cost-per-lead rather than the return-on-relationships she was getting.

Through our efforts, the firm was building relationships with VPs of sales and sales enablement directors at Fortune 500 companies like Oracle, First Data and TD Bank. She didn’t think about the value those relationships will have once they close deals. She didn’t think about how we’re shortening the sales cycle and giving the firm a return-on-time.

By focusing just on leads instead of relationships that will turn into revenue, the president was getting a false sense of failure (when she was indeed getting something way more valuable than leads that tend to go nowhere.)

If Your Intention Is to Grow Your Business, Shouldn’t Your Focus Be on Generating Customers and Revenue?
For our own LinkedIn marketing efforts at Get LinkedIn Help, our team does not carry a lead goal. In fact, we don’t even carry an opportunity goal. We only measure marketing success by closed revenue and make decisions based on this metric. Even if we generate a lower amount of leads or opportunities, it doesn’t matter. Our revenue that is coming from our LinkedIn marketing efforts is all that matters.

The way to focus on customers and revenue is to focus on the complete funnel, not just the top of the funnel and the volume of leads that are going into the funnel. Marketers need to take a pipeline marketing approach, make decisions based on revenue generation instead of leads and optimize all aspects of the LinkedIn marketing program to widen every stage of the funnel. The only way marketers will be able to generate more MQLs, more SQLs, more sales opportunities and more deals is to use the entire pipeline.

So, what are your thoughts?
Should marketers be focusing on the lead volume or should they be focused on the relationships that are being created and how they are driving revenues? Should they be focused on cost-per-lead or the cost for business growth and results?

How To Rank #1 on the Major Search Engines – A SPN Exclusive Article

SEOptimization

Having a Web site that gets found in Google isn’t hard to do, but it can be difficult to know where to begin. Here are ten tips to get you started.

1. Start out slowly. If possible, begin with a new site that has never been submitted to the search engines or directories.

Choose an appropriate domain name, and start out by optimizing just the home page.

2. Learn basic HTML. Many search engine optimization techniques involve editing the behind the scenes HTML code. Your high rankings can depend on knowing which codes are necessary, and which aren’t.

3. Choose keywords wisely. The keywords you think might be perfect for your site may not be what people are actually searching for. To find the optimal keywords for your site, use tools such as WordTracker. Choose two or three highly targeted phrases for each page of your site. Never shoot for general keywords such as “travel” or “vacation.”

4. Write at least 200 – 250 words of visible text copy based on your chosen keywords. This is a crucial component to high rankings and a successful Web site. The search engines need to “read” keyword rich copy on your pages so they can successfully classify your site. Use each keyword phrase numerous times within your copy for best results.

5. Create a killer Title tag. HTML title tags are critical because they’re given a lot of weight with all of the search engines. You must put your keywords into this tag and not waste space with extra words. Do not use the Title tag to display your company name or to say “Home Page.” Think of it more as a “Title Keyword Tag” and create it accordingly. Add your company name to the end of this tag, if you must use it.

6. Create Meaty Meta tags. Meta tags can be valuable, but they are not a magic bullet. Create a Meta Description tag that uses your keywords and also describes your site. The information in this tag often appears under your Title in the search engine results pages.
The Meta Keyword tag isn’t quite as important as the Meta Description tag. Contrary to popular belief, what you place in the keyword tag will have very little bearing on what keywords your site is actually found under, and it’s not given any consideration whatsoever by Google. Use this tag, but do not obsess over it.

7. Use extra “goodies” to boost rankings. Things like headlines, image alt tags, header tags (H1, H2), etc., links from other pages, keywords in file names, and keywords in hyperlinks can cumulatively boost search engine rankings. Use any or all of these where they make sense for your site.

8. Be careful when submitting to directories such as Yahoo and the Open Directory Project (DMOZ). Having directory listings are a key component to getting your site spidered and listed by Google. Making mistakes in the submission process could cost you dearly as directory listings are difficult to change later in the game. Therefore, it’s important to read Yahoo’s How to Suggest Your Site and How to add a site to the Open Directory before submitting.

9. Don’t expect quick results. Getting high rankings takes time; there’s no getting around that fact. Once your site is added to a search engine or directory, its ranking may start out low and then slowly work its way up the ladder. Some search engines measure “click-through popularity,” i.e., the more people that click on a particular site, the higher its ranking will go. Be patient and give your site time to mature.

10. Don’t constantly “tweak” your site for better results. It’s best not to make changes to your optimization for at least three-to-six months after submission. It often takes the engines at least that long to add your optimized pages to their databases. Submit it, and then forget about it for a while!
If you’ve followed these tips and still can’t find your site in the engines, the first place to “tweak” would be your page copy.

If you added less than 250 words of visible text on your pages, this is probably your culprit. Also, double check your keyword density, and make sure that you only targeted two or three phrases per page. Eventually, you’ll see the fruits of your labor with many top ten rankings in Google and the rest of the search engines!

10 Ways Anyone Can Win At Social Media (and Start Doing it Today)

There are so many people out there trying to go viral on the Internet, it seems as if it is impossible to stand out among the crowd. However, social media success is not necessarily that complicated. Going viral is hard, but being successful at social media does not have to be. And being viral can easily follow.

Ten Ways to Improve Your Social Media Presence

No matter how big or small your company is, there are things you can do to improve your social media presence.

1. Use Lots of Images
People are visual. They like to see lots of colors and pretty things. And when they are bored at work, discretely skimming the feed of whatever social media account they happen to be using at the moment, they are not taking the time to read every tweet, post, or status they see along the way. They wait to find that special thing that catches their eye. Often, that is a clever image, gif, meme, video, etc. You know this is true because, admit it, that’s what you do isn’t it? It is the truth for me.

Take this knowledge and run with it. Don’t just create content, create visuals as well. If you want to share small tidbits of information, add it to a chart or put some text on an image and use that instead.
Some examples of the visuals you can use include:
  • Infographics
  • Videos
  • GIFs
  • Memes
  • Pictures overlaid with quotes
Plus, it is easy to add images. Almost all social media platforms put a button to add an image right there in the same area you use to make a post. Just save the image you want to use to your computer, and then upload it into the post. It really is that easy.

2. Stop Using Lots of (Stock) Images
What is worse than not using visuals at all? Sticking to stock images. When people see a stock image, they can tell. And if you can’t be bothered to put a little bit of effort into creating your own image, why should anybody believe that you would put any more effort into the content itself?

It actually is not that hard to come up with unique images. Nor is it hard to create GIFs or memes. So if it does not take a lot of time or effort and it can result in great things, why aren’t you doing it more?

Here are five great resources you can use to create great images
1. Photos and videos: your own camera
2. GIFs
3. Memes
4. Infographics
5. Quote Pictures

3. Catch up on the 4-1-1
How often do you tune into the 24/7 Advertising Channel? And when was the last time you flipped through a magazine just to get to the ads or searched the Web for commercials to watch? Assuming you are not in the advertising field and/or are not boning up on your slogan and logo knowledge for your trivia team, the chances are you do not actually seek out ads and marketing programs – though you might see something you like when a commercial pops up on whatever it is you are watching.
If your social media channel is all marketing, then nobody is going to want to tune in to listen. If you really want your social media campaign to be successful, then you need to give people content they want to see, and then throw in a few promotional pieces along the way.

To do this correctly, there is a recommended ratio to use called the 4-1-1 Rule. For every self-serving tweet, retweet someone else’s relevant tweet and tweet four pieces of related content that were not written by you. In other words,
  • Four tweets on topic that are related to you, but were not created by you.
  • One retweet on a topic that is related to you.
  • One tweet about you own content.

4. #Learn #How #to #Use #Hashtags
#Even #though #it’s #social #media, #people #are #still #trying #to #read #your #posts. And as you probably just noticed, when you are trying to read something full of hashtags, it gets annoying fast. Plus, it just plain looks like spam.

Not only is it annoying to read, but it is counterproductive. If you are just using tangential hashtags, people might be finding your posts, but it might not be the people that make up your target audience.
To have a successful social media campaign, you need to use hashtags. But, more importantly, you need to use them correctly. There are several tips you can use when it comes to picking hashtags that will make all of your “hashtagging” efforts much more successful.
  • Don’t just use hashtags on Twitter. Twitter might be the original “hashtagger,” but it is far from the only one.
  • Never use more than three hashtags in a post.
  • Use hashtags that your audience uses. Hashtagify is a great resource to use when you are trying to find good hashtags.
Another thing you should keep in mind when you are choosing a hashtag is just what a hashtag does. Hashtags let people follow a thread about a specific conversation. You can make a hashtag out of whatever you want, but if other people are not using it, then it does not help you. Also, if you choose something too broad, you are likely to be lost in the shuffle.
  • #YouMightSeePeopleDoThisWithHashtags, but it is not a helpful strategy. Instead, make your hashtags one or two words or a popular phrase so that you are more discoverable.
  • Hashtags end at any form of punctuation. So #It’sTimeToVote would only get you picked up by people following the hashtag, which is both too broad and not followed by enough people.
  • Capital letters do not matter, but they make it easier to read.

5. Step in Front of the Camera
What is better than using visuals? Using videos! You’ve been reading reports all day, and your head hurts, your eyes hurt, your whole body hurts. You pop open Twitter just to scroll through your feed, and you see an article on some skill you’ve been meaning to study and you see a video on the same topic. Which do you pick? Remember, you’ve been reading work material all day. So why read when you can watch?

Social media time is not about in-depth study sessions. People use these tools to be entertained or to get information fast and focused. Videos allow you to just sit back and listen. Plus, they are super easy to make. Were you already going to write about that topic for your blog? Just film yourself talking about it in an interesting manner and then upload it to YouTube. Add a paragraph or two about the topic and share your video on your blog – now you have a video to share on Twitter and a new post on your blog.

6. Chat It up
In order to be a social media success, you need to build engagement and interactions. If you are having a one-way conversation, you aren’t really having a conversation. If you want to really build up your social brand, you have to start real two (or multi)-way conversations with other experts in the field and with your audience.

Ask questions. Conduct polls. Answer other people’s questions. There are a whole lot of opportunities here.
  • Set a goal of how many conversations you want to have in the next month.
  • Define what you mean by a conversation. For example, you might consider a conversation any interaction with at least three responses from someone who is not you.
  • Create a list of experts in your subject matter and examine their social media content. See what they are doing differently than you. But also see if you can start a conversation with them.

7. Give Something Away
Another good way to get people involved with your accounts is to have some type of contest. People love to win things. So, create a giveaway that will get people liking, sharing and responding to you in ways you would not believe. Even small companies can get insane results when they add a simple competition to their feeds.

There are many different types of competitions you can have, and there are an equal amount of prizes that could be won during those competitions. Plus, this does not have to be a one-time thing. Set up a competition on a regular basis (e.g., weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) and people will keep watching you to make sure they do not miss the latest prize.

8. Roll with the Changes
Social media is a river, so if you act like it’s a lake, you are going to drown. The world of social media is changing daily. What works today might be less than successful tomorrow, and the hot new platform now is made old by that cool tool all the kids are going to start using soon. You have to be able to keep up.

When you create a social media plan, one of the most important things you have to be able to do is be flexible. If your plan is not working or has been made outdated by the latest trends, you have to be willing to scrap everything you just created and start all over again. If you keep trying to swim right where you are, the currents are going to sweep you away.

9. Keep up with the Analytics
One of the best things you can do to boost your social media success is to keep up with the data. Study your analytics to see what is working for you and what needs work. Study everybody else’s data to see what is working in general. Use the data that is being made easily available to you to readjust your social media plan.

Here are two ways you can use analytics to fix your social media problems.

1. So you think because you have a lot of followers, you are doing everything correctly? That does not mean a lot. Look at the stats to see how engaged those followers are. How many people are clicking on your links? How many shares are you receiving? Is anybody commenting on your posts? The answers to these questions are the ones that will really tell you where you need to adjust.

2. Find topics that matter to your audience by examining just what trends are out there working. Maybe you are focusing on articles around the topic of graphic design, but the people you are trying to impress are searching for graphic art. Recognizing this and making the small change can drastically affect your success levels.

When you study the results of your social media posts, you can easily find ways to improve yourself without a lot of effort.

10. Be a Person, Not a Robot
Robots are really cool when you see them in person and they are walking around or doing cool things like cleaning up for you like Rosie from The Jetsons. Nobody likes the robots that talk to you on the phone in lieu of a customer representative or who drone on in a robotic voice about things that nobody cares about, though.

So while creating a robot sounds like an awesome idea, it is not a great idea to do it on your social media accounts. People want personality, and so you need to develop one if you want to become successful.

Here are some suggestions on ways to add some personality to your social media persona:
  • Tell jokes – appropriate ones of course.
  • Tweet soft stories as well. For example, if you use social media to discuss the world of sales, do not just post the news story about how homebuilders are not confident in sales prospects, tweet something a little more fun like the best Memorial Day sales you do not want to miss.
  • Follow several of the other steps already listed in this post like using videos and images, having contests, and starting conversations.\

How To Control Your Listing Text in Google’s Search Results

A Google Webmaster Help video from Matt Cutts got me thinking how the listing text in Google’s search results can easily be overlooked by some webmasters in their SEO efforts.

SEO is all about extending the reach of your web site content to your target market using online search platforms. You can tell when this has been achieved, and to what degree, by using web analytics software to monitor referral and visitor data. But what that data won’t tell you is how your site appears to users in a SERP (Search Engine Results Page). Sure, you’re getting traffic but perhaps you’re missing out on a lot more because your listing text is weak. You wouldn’t take out a newspaper advertisement without looking at the final proof first. So don’t be in the dark over how your site appears to people who use Google.

Poor page titles, visible copy, and description meta data can result in a weak listing. Webmasters have a lot of control over what text is displayed in a SERP, but in the end, Google reserves the right to modify result snippets if it feels the original isn’t up to par.

It’s important to remember that this decision by Google is based on a highly refined algorithm and is ultimately for the benefit of people searching for your content. That said, I’m willing to bet most webmasters still prefer to retain control over how their web site is shown in search results.
By ensuring your on-page content is the best it can be, you’re greatly increasing the chances Google doesn’t step in and tweak your listing.

Let’s look at the different elements of an organic Google search result and how we can control what is shown.

Page Title
The large blue link at the top of the snippet. As Matt points out in his video, most people know Google can modify the description snippet in the listings but not everyone is aware that Google may also change the title. In this case, it is usually due to a shortcoming with your web page’s title attribute. If the title is missing, too long or irrelevant, Google may show something more on-topic to the search query made.

Here are some tips to ensure Google displays the best possible title text to a user:
  • Always ensure that page titles are unique and not just copied page to page across the site
  • The page title isn’t something you stuff with keywords. Yes, always include your most important key phrases but don’t offer a long list of everything your web site is about. It should be a concise headline that describes the content on the specific page – my personal preference is to use no more than three different keywords or phrases.
  • Page titles over 60 characters in length are likely to get cut down and manipulated by Google. If the search term(s) appears in a lengthy title tag, it’s likely that a snippet of it will be used where the term appears.

Listing Description
Using the same logic as for the title, the description displayed in a SERP comes from the most relevant area of your web page. IE. The area of your text containing the word(s) used in the Google search query.

The listing snippet is typically generated from your visible copy on the page or the description meta tag. This is a good reason to optimize the description meta tag as part of your SEO campaign. While Google’s algorithm ignores it for purposes of determining rankings, it can still pull the tag’s content and display it to its users. A good description meta tag uses proper grammar and explains the page content in under two or three sentences. Remember; don’t stuff the description tag with a list of keywords. That isn’t helpful for users or the search engines.

If you write focused, quality on-page content for your target audience and create a helpful description tag, you should have your Google listing snippet covered.

Cache Version of the Page
Next to the green URL in your Google listing is usually a “Cached” link. Clicking this will display the version of your web page that was indexed by the Googlebot when it last crawled your site. Also included is the crawl date.

Why is this important? Well, if you’ve recently updated your page title or visible copy and the changes are not reflected in Google results, it probably means Google hasn’t returned to check your site’s content for updates.

Common reasons for this include few inbound links or existing inbound links of poor quality. If Google doesn’t crawl the pages that link to your site, it stands to reason they won’t visit your site frequently.

If you find your site isn’t getting crawled enough by Googlebot or other search engine robots, consider submitting your site to local business directories or swapping links with other good quality, relevant web sites. The benefits of inbound links also go much farther than just increasing crawl frequency – they will also play a significant part in how well your site ranks.

Now that we know the elements of a typical Google listing and the factors that determine what is shown, all that’s left is for you to monitor your site listing for various keyword searches and make changes when necessary.

Remember: a top Google ranking doesn’t mean anything unless people actually click on it. Have a look at your competitors’ listings in Google and see how yours compares – which one would you click on if you did a search for that topic? In my experience, there is often room for improvement when it comes to copy writing and content relevancy. In the end, your users and the search engines will like you more for it.

Add Public Speaking to Your Marketing Plan to Promote Your Company

marketing--business

Small business owners must devote a lot of time to marketing their brand to get noticed. To increase your client list and convince people to work for you, you are compelled to stay updated with the most recent trends. Updating your portfolio, pitching new projects, attending conferences and so on, are all important actions that you must take to make yourself noticed. One of the simplest ways of promoting a company or a brand is through public speaking.

Believe it or not, public speaking adds value to your business. It may seem challenging and even nerve-racking, but it can also be rewarding. If you want to convince an audience to trust your company and buy your products, you have to speak out loud and let people know you.

Leaders, entrepreneurs and CEOs spend so much time online these days that they don’t want to attend live conferences anymore. While chatting on Skype with employees and investors may seem practical, it’s not really a smart way to market your company. Every business owner should include public speaking into his marketing strategy. Here are some tips to help you get started.

Look professional
How can investors and customers see you as a professional when they’ve never heard you speak? Talking out loud, in front of an audience will position you as an authoritative individual within your activity domain. There’s no time to be nervous, though. Since you’ll be talking about your company, crafting a beautiful presentation shouldn’t be a problem. Promote your company by organizing weekly conferences. Invite important names, potential investors, and buyers, and bring solid arguments to convince people of your company’s capabilities. Be genuine, honest to make the audience connect to you, both as an individual and as the head of your business.

Giving presentations and speaking in front of people can be a valuable strategy for boosting company visibility and proving your expertise and value to the marketplace. Business owners don’t need to be experienced motivational speakers for this; however, you must commit and try as much as possible to develop and improve your confidence level, presentation skills and leadership abilities.

Increase visibility online and offline
Every business, regardless of size and type, must have some sort of presence online and offline. An official website, a dedicated Facebook page, a LinkedIn profile of the CEO, a Twitter account are just as important as the posters and billboards you’re planning on spreading around the city. A business owner must connect to his audience. Record yourself at an event or conference, and upload the video on YouTube and on other social media websites. Let people see and hear you. Posting videos is an excellent way of assessing your speech. Apart from making it available to a wider audience, you are also analyzing flaws and searching for ways to make it better the next time.

Set yourself apart from the competition
The key to owning a successful company is to be unique. As the owner of a small business, it’s your job to entice the people and make them want to know you. A well-thought out marketing plan is not just about boosting website traffic and having thousands of Facebook fans. It’s equally important to let an audience get to know the person behind the company, and that person is YOU: the owner.
Public speaking at events, conferences, gatherings, and formal business meetings is an excellent way of making your brand known in front of a wider audience. Live presentations should be included on your marketing and advertising plan. Prior to getting started, make a plan. Write down important information you’d like to share and know your numbers. It’s important to be prepared because people may want to ask questions. As long as you’ve got nothing to hide and your company data is transparent, chances are your audience will love you.

In some situations, business owners may also opt to use conference speakers. This means hiring someone to talk about your small business at events. Before choosing a speaker, make sure you check his resumé. Tell him as much information about your company, help him understand your goals, and work together to come up with the best speech.

3 New SEO Tools That Truly Make a Difference

SEO-Tips
Online media, marketing executive and Internet entrepreneur Wendy Piersall once said, “Google only loves you when everyone else loves you first.” What Wendy is implying is that a site must generate backlinks from reputable sources, engagement, and overall awareness before it can climb its way up the SERP. But in addition to this, you have to understand SEO strategies in order to maintain rankings.

SEO is a never-ending endeavor and it is constantly in transition. Once you think your finger is on the pulse, the game changes. Today’s best practices are tomorrow’s black hat tactics. It can be bloody difficult to stay on top of cutting-edge SEO techniques and applications. The good news, however, is there are constantly new features and tools put forth to help you remain relevant in the SEO arena.
The digital landscape is rich with robust and dynamic tools, apps, plugins, and so forth, to keep your site and search engine efforts on the forefront of SEO planning. And to help you minimize the need to sift through the copious amounts of blogs, articles, and reviews covering these types of resources, here are three of the latest SEO tools that will truly make a difference for your business.

1. Screaming Frog SEO Log File Analyser
Screaming Frog has been a long time favorite among those in the SEO community. It is often touted as one of the most authoritative and effective SEO tools on the market. As of recently, the team over at Screaming Frog released a new tool to dive even deeper into your search result analyzation: it’s called the Screaming Frog SEO Log File Analyser

For those who are unfamiliar, log files are a file output from Web servers that detail each ‘hit’ a site receives; this includes information such as time and date received, IP address, URL request, and other useful data. These types of files can be extremely helpful with SEO and were utilized much more heavily before analytics tools began to become popularized. In recent years, SEOs have been rediscovering their usefulness; hence the creation of the Log File Analyser.

This tool allows for log files to be imported via a simple drag and drop interface. From there, the dashboard will provide a detailed analysis of which search bots are crawling your site, how often your site is crawled, how many pages are crawled, and various other details that typical SEO tools don’t offer.

Screaming Frog SEO Log File Analyser can also help you determine which URLs are the slowest to respond, how often your News Sitemap is checked by Googlebots, how a new inbound link impacts your crawl rate, and other metrics that might otherwise go undiscovered. The greatest part of this tool is that log data can be cross-referenced with URL data, a typically tedious and laborious process, right inside the tool. This allows for deep analysis that trigger significant improvements to your site and, ultimately, your SEO.

2. GMass
A crucial aspect of SEO involves developing relationships with other bloggers, influencers, and media outlets so that your site can gain authoritative and relevant backlinks. The problem with this, however, is that the inboxes of these individuals are already flooded with copy and pasted messages looking to get the same kind of attention you are. Ultimately, your e-mail is likely to get buried.
GMass is designed to help you send out highly customized, personalized e-mails but, in fact, they’re developed en masse by you. E-mail as many as 10,000 people at a single time. E-mails that are crafted specifically for an individual are more likely to receive attention than cookie-cutter copy.
This plugin personalizes e-mails based on information pulled from Google Sheets that you have created. Personalization fields accommodate any of the columns in your spreadsheet including name, company, city, and other personal information. E-mail lists can even be pulled from your Gmail account through a search and extract feature. GMass also provides open and click tracking data, e-mail reports integrated directly with Gmail, e-mail scheduling options, and can even send e-mails as a reply to the last conversation held with an individual. Best of all, GMass is 100 percent free to use. Use this tool to stay connected with anyone in your space that might be interested with the content you’re creating. Every link and mention makes a difference.

3. Impactana
Content is the backbone of all SEO efforts. Without content, possibilities to drive traffic, acquire backlinks and increase in rankings are limited. Impactana is the latest tool to drive your rank position upward through content marketing.
